Eyewear for Five Faces
Good eyewear designers discover a face; make the mutability visible without changing the personality.
Recognice your face form by combing your hair strictly away from the face and pay attention to your personal colour type.

OVAL
The oval face
Every frame fits the oval face since the face shape is utterly unproblematic and neutral. But even here it is possible to gloss unflattering proportions, e.g. a nose too long is shortened optically by a low-sitting bridge.
A nose too short already looks very different with a graceful, high-set bridge. The most unusual – but not prominent – creations and fashion innovations can be worn.
oval = all hair lengths and cuts
ROUND
The round face
a large, distinctive and eye-catching frame fits a round face best, lending it more expressiveness and fascination.
Narrow and thin eyeglass frames, fine and thin rims are unflattering and make this face appear unnecessarily round.
round = hair with fringes on the forehead, side part, sides not to thick, altogether not too long
TRIANGULAR
The triangular – heart-shaped – face
Usually also small and delicate. With broad and flat forehead. The cheekbones are often at eyelevel. The lower part of the face is narrower than the upper part.
Delicate, thin-rimmed eyeglass frames in round, oval or polygonal form fit this face very well. Low-set sidepieces emphasize distinctly the characteristic of the triangular face. Narrow, horizontal forms with rising edges are unsuitable here.
heart-shaped = create inverted triangle with hair, cut thin on the top and long toward the bottom
ANGULAR
The angular face
Corners are best softened with a medium-sized shape -neither angular nor round, but more oval.
Also broad-edged frames with soft lines and pretty, wide bridges fit. If the face is also broad, then wide and extravagant eyeglass frames are also very advantageous. Circular, extremely angular and forms with rising lower edges do not fit with an angular face.
angular = cover forehead asymmetrically, hair can be wild and like a mane. Soft and fringed stages balance it
BROAD
The broad – longish – face
Large, round, oval or angular forms are very good to wear. Also extravagant, wide and lively eyeglass shapes are to be preferred. Certainly with large bridge and low-sitting sidepieces. Ideal to achieve an optically shorting effect. Especially advantageous here is a raised nose bridge that adeptly divides. Under no circumstance should small, delicate or thin-rimmed frames be worn. They really look lost and unfitting.
broad = preferably bangs and the hair length no longer than the chin with layered cut on the sides
